Let me introduce myself...

My name is Kelly Lavallee. I live in a beautiful southern town in South Carolina. I love what I do and would love to share my God-given ability with you.

Since 1997, I have had the opportunity to work with many businesses, large and small through my home-based graphic and web design business.

My marketing career began when I was 16 years old. The owner of the garden center where I worked approached me and asked, "How would you like to do our ads?" I replied, "Sure", and the rest is history. That was twenty three years ago. Through my years at that garden center, I was promoted to Marketing Coordinator, and that garden center became one of the largest and most profitable garden centers in Southeastern Connecticut. I handled a $125,000 advertising budget, created the campaigns, typeset all the newspaper ads and direct mail pieces and much more. It was the only "real" job I've ever had, but taught me everything I needed to know about the industry.

This included how to work with the advertising sales representatives to get the best "bang for your buck", how to motivate employees to give their best work, and how to design the ads to get results.

Since September of 1997, I have been a "stay-at-home" mom to my beautiful children and operated my business as a way of fulfilling my need to design. I am always grateful for the opportunity that God has given me; to work at home while raising my children. I juggle the two effortlessly (okay, so I'm stretching the truth a bit), but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Since then, I have moved my family to South Carolina, and have started a web site for our town called MyFortMill.com. It has developed into a very high rated listing of events for our town and the surrounding areas. Again, I love to design and code, so am doing this as a service to our townspeople.

In my 'spare' time, I like to spend time with my husband, our kids and friends, garden, sing, write, and relax...
